Caged Again

There is a legend about a zoo where animals turn into humans when left alone in an empty cage. In that zoo, there is a penguin named Junior, who can understand human speech. He lives peacefully with his younger sibling, Little, but he finds the zoo suffocating. Junior longs to leave and travel to the Arctic, but one day, the legend becomes a reality.

EP.1

Following a male student he met at the zoo, Junior sneaks into a boarding school and joins a club. As expected from a penguin, he excels in swimming. However, someone who sees Junior as a nuisance traps him in a storage room before an important swimming competition. Sun comes to his rescue just in time.

EP.2

The news spreads throughout the school that Nam used tricks to try to defeat Junior. However, Nam refuses to admit both his defeat and his wrongdoing. Instead, he begins to harass not only Junior but also his friends in an attempt to take revenge. Enraged by Nam’s excessive actions, Junior and his friends decide to teach Nam and his gang a lesson.

EP.3

Noticing that Sun seems different from usual, Junior becomes worried. He tries to think of ways to cheer Sun up, but despite his efforts, Sun disappears without a word again at night. Determined to find him, Junior sets out in search of Sun and finally comes face-to-face with the concerns that Sun had been hiding all along.

EP.4

Junior is shocked to discover that Son, the zookeeper who had always cared for him and Little, is actually a member of an animal smuggling organization. With this revelation, Junior and Sun flee into the forest to escape from the organization’s members. However, they soon lose their way and wander around. An unfamiliar passerby, noticing Junior’s exhaustion and poor health from the shock and fatigue, invites both Junior and Sun into their home to rest.

EP.5

While Junior and Sun are resting peacefully at Ton and Nat's house, they are suddenly confronted by Son and Kon once again. They try to escape before the two can notice them, but Junior, unwilling to let innocent people suffer because of their troubles, decides to stand his ground and fight. However, facing off against Son and Kon, who are armed with guns, proves to be too much for Junior and Sun. They are ultimately captured.

EP.6

Son and Kon, the members of the animal smuggling organization, are arrested by the police, and the animals they had captured are safely returned to the zoo.
Realizing that living as a human isn’t always as wonderful as he once thought, Junior decides to return to being a penguin and live with his older sibling, Little. However, not wanting to let Junior go, Sun confesses his true feelings. In response, Junior confesses back and asks Sun to date him. But instead of answering, Sun distances himself from Junior.

EP.7

After much contemplation, Sun finally accepts Junior’s confession, and the two decide to go to a festival held at a temple.
Secretly sneaking out of school without the security guard noticing, they face a few challenges along the way but eventually arrive at the temple. There, they enjoy delicious festival food, play games, and have a great time together.
However, in the midst of their happiness, just as Sun is startled by the sound of fireworks, someone takes the opportunity to kidnap Junior.

EP.8

Using her powers, Mina locates the place where Junior has been kidnapped.
Sun, along with Jod, Jeng, Aunt Noi, and Mina, sets out to rescue Junior. With the help of his friends, his aunt, and Mina, they manage to save Junior after a tough struggle.
However, just as they are about to escape, Son fires his gun, and Sun is hit. Wounded, Sun transforms into a black panther and flees deep into the forest.

EP.9

After Sun disappears, Junior drops out of school and starts working at a laundry shop while waiting for Sun to return. However, as time passes, Sun never shows up. Growing tired of waiting, Junior decides to leave for Bangkok.
Just as he is about to leave, a miracle happens—Sun appears in front of him.
Reuniting in Bangkok, the two start a happy life together. They work hard, save money, and eventually fulfill Junior’s dream by traveling to the Arctic together.
