Min Jun and Jin Hwan, both 20 years old, are drawn to each other and spend the night together. However, that very night, Jin Hwan receives a call. Overhearing the conversation, Min Jun misunderstands, believing that Jin Hwan had only been playing with him all along. The next day, Jin Hwan acts as if nothing happened and shows no concern for Min Jun, deepening the misunderstanding. He disappears without a trace.

EP.1

Minjun, who now has to face Jinhwan regularly, finds himself unconsciously putting more effort into his outfits ever since Jinhwan returned. Unlike him, Jinhwan appears completely composed and confident. That afternoon, during a brainstorming session for a concept meeting, the two share a light conversation. Jinhwan, noticing how much Minjun has matured as a working adult, tells him, “You’ve worked hard.” Minjun feels oddly affected by Jinhwan’s unexpected words. As the meeting goes on, Jinhwan reads through the table of contents for their project titled Love Manual and suddenly asks Minjun,
“Do you believe love comes with a manual?”

EP.2

While having drinks, the two start talking, and naturally, the past comes up. Minjun, unable to hold back, starts pressing Jinhwan—did he really ever like him, or was he just playing around? Why did he ghost him back then? The tension grows. In response, Jinhwan brings up Woo-hyuk, mentioning that he’s Minjun’s closest friend and is now getting married to a female coworker they work with. The revelation leaves Minjun flustered and emotionally shaken.

EP.3

After that day, Minjun and Jinhwan become increasingly conscious of each other. When Minjun looks tired, Jinhwan asks if he’s been drinking, and Minjun purposely says he drank with a guy—stirring up Jinhwan’s jealousy. A few days later, their coworker Hyein hands them a wedding invitation and invites them to her wedding. When Jinhwan asks how she ended up getting married, she says she had to chase after her fiancé like crazy. Back when she had a crush on him, she says, compatibility tests and one-sided love quizzes were all the rage, and every result told her it wouldn’t work out. But she didn’t give up—and now, they’re getting married. Laughing, she adds, “Maybe if I had a manual book, it would’ve been easier to date.

EP.4

Jinhwan calls a designated driver and brings Minjun home. Fueled by alcohol and emotions he’s long kept inside, Minjun finally confesses, “I liked you. That’s why I was scared.” Drawn to each other, they kiss, and the two spend the night together. The next morning, they wake up disheveled and awkward, preparing to attend Hyein and Woo-hyuk’s wedding. Minjun is overwhelmed by the fear that things between them might once again become vague and unresolved.

EP.5

After rejecting Jinhwan’s confession, Minjun is realized of their final goodbye and breaks down in tears. At work, the Love Manual Book project wraps up successfully—but Jinhwan is nowhere to be seen. Minjun hears that Jinhwan has officially quit the company. He can’t stop thinking about him. Then, Minjun hears something unexpected from Woo-hyuk—Jinhwan is leaving the country.

EP.6

Minjun is stressed out over housing issues, and Jinhwan only adds to his frustration. They end up fighting. Feeling guilty for saying harsh things on their anniversary, Minjun regrets his words and heads over to Jinhwan’s place to make things right. He expects a serious confrontation but is met instead with Jinhwan’s warm apology and a heartfelt “I love you.” Afterward, the two cook together, share a meal, and enjoy a sweet and cozy anniversary date.
