In the Kingdom of Emmaly, the next monarch is chosen through a succession competition among four noble houses. The current king commands knight Charan to bring back his house's heir, Khanin Assavadevathin, for the upcoming contest. Khanin, who has been living as a fencing athlete, returns to Emmaly with Charan. Each house’s heir enters the competition to claim the throne for their family, and Charan stands by Khanin’s side as his knight, protecting him throughout the trials.
