Hiromu hears from the manager that whoever wins the upcoming selection test between him and Kiryu will represent the salon at the group company's competition.
Confident in the pride he takes in his hard work, Hiromu is sure of his victory. He responds calmly to his peer Aoi, and brushes off Natsuo’s concerns that he never takes time to relax.
Meanwhile, the earnest Kiryu is completely focused on preparing for the test.
By chance, Hiromu glimpses Kiryu’s design sketchbook—filled with countless original hairstyles.
Seeing Kiryu's dedication, Hiromu starts to feel anxious despite himself.
Natsuo visits Hiromu’s place as usual, but this time, Kiryu shows up as well...

In the last contest, Hiro was able to believe in himself until the very end thanks to Natsuo.
After persistent nagging from Natsuo, Hiro finally gives in and agrees to go on a reward date with him.

Though tense at first, worried that Natsuo might demand something ridiculous, Hiro is surprised when, on the day of the date, Natsuo simply suggests, “I just want to take a relaxing walk nearby.”
They end up spending time together—riding a slide, going on a boat—and for some reason, Natsuo seems unusually close to Hiro throughout.

When Hiro finally tells him, “Don’t get so close,” Natsuo snaps back, “Aren’t couples usually this close?” and walks off, frustrated.
Left alone, Hiro returns home, only to realize something…

After receiving a request for a birthday kiss from Natsuo, Hiro agrees.
Hiro and Natsuo spend a special time together at a hair salon.
The next day after such a date, Hiro finds himself thinking about Natsuo even while working.
His colleague Shiina points it out, but then Oribe, a man who resembles Hiro’s younger self, appears.
From Natsuo, Hiro learns that Oribe is a former part-time coworker and someone Natsuo once had a crush on.
Feeling uneasy about Oribe and Natsuo’s relationship, Hiro doesn’t know what to do.
To make matters worse, Oribe tells him, “I like being alone with Natsuo,” which unsettles Hiro even more.
Later, Natsuo tells Hiro, “Unlike you, he’s weak,” leaving Hiro’s heart in turmoil.

Hiro is shaken after learning that Natsuo’s first love was him, and that Natsuo had called him to the rooftop in high school to confess his feelings.
His mind keeps replaying that memory, making it impossible to concentrate at work. Although Aoi warns him to be careful, Hiro trips over a step and gets injured.
Upon hearing about Hiro’s injury, Natsuo worries and comes to his house to take care of him. He cooks and cleans in Hiro’s place, and Hiro allows Natsuo to stay over at his home for the first time.
As they spend each day together at Hiro’s house, feeling comfortable in each other’s presence, Hiro hears something at the hospital that changes his thoughts…

Hiro, realizing his feelings for Natsuo, gives him a spare key so they can be together anytime. Natsuo is overjoyed to receive it. One day, an invitation to a high school reunion arrives at Hiro’s house. Remembering painful memories, Hiro vows never to attend. However, when Natsuo says he will go to see his first love, Hiro blurts out, “There’s no way they’d come.” On the day of the reunion, Hiro goes to work while Natsuo stays at his house. While waiting, Natsuo accidentally knocks over the delphinium they were growing together — and discovers something in Hiro’s home...

Natsuo learns that Hiro is actually Suzuki Hiromu, his classmate, and Hiro reveals that he'd been dating Natsuo to get revenge for high school. Natsuo is greatly shocked by this revelation. While Natsuo is away, Hiro is given the important task of cutting the hair of popular influencer RaMu at a salon.  While Hiro anticipates showcasing his skills, he receives news of an accident from Aoi…
